T1 Bridge carries Thessaloniki's Ring Road over a dual carriageway which, is the main exit point of the West part of the City. The deck is significantly skewed (40o angle). It comprises 6 continuous spans (34.00+34.00+36.00+53.00+45.00+30.00m) with total length of 232.00m. The cross section of the deck is formed as a 2.60m high box and of variable width (13.20m to 15.90m). The deck is cast in situ in three phases. Prestressing is applied in three phases as well and the cables are connected with movable couplers. Transverse prestressing is applied to limit tensile stresses on the cantilevers.

The two central piers are rigidly connected to the deck, in order to attract the horizontal seismic loading. All other piers carry the bridge through elastic bearing pads. The intermediate piers are elliptical (2.50x1.80m), with their weak axis being parallel to the deck.

The intermediate piers are founded on Φ150 DIA pile groups and the abutments on Φ120 DIA piles, all connected with rigid pile caps.

As the total height of the Bridge is low, casting of the deck is carried out in phases with the use of heavy duty scaffolding.
