The bridge is located in the centre of Veroia, a small town in Macedonia, and carries a local road over Tripotamos river. 

The deck comprises three continuous spans and has a total length of 106.20m, measured between the support lines of the abutments. The middle span measures 42.20m with the side spans being 32.00m long. The middle piers are founded into the river bed and are 28.00 and 29.00m high respectively.

 

 The deck consists of a continuous, prestressed solid slab. The slab is 0.80m thick at the midspan and 1.80m over the intermediate supports. On the sides of the deck, two variable thickness cantilevers carry the bridge’s walkways.

 

 Intermediate piers consist of rectangular hollow sections in the lower half. In the upper half the section is limited into two rectangular walls in the transverse direction. This arrangement is used to limit the flexural stiffness of the piers so that they do not attract high seismic loads.

 

 Abutments are founded on a pile group of 5 piles. The piles are 32m long and have a diameter of 1.50m. Middle piers are founded on 10 piles of same diameter and length.
